Sun killing Zembly.

I got a message from Sun to say that they're discontinuing their social network widget building site Zembly. Zembly allowed developers to create applications widgets they could use as widgets on social networking sites like Facebook. It also hosted the applications.

It's not entirely surprising because Zembly was not never really hot with the community. As of now, the website shows a goodbye message but not much on the reason to terminate.

It's also easy to link this to yesterdays announcement of Sun's revenue falling by 25% and the company filling a $120m loss for the quarter. It's said their sales are struggling due to the uncertainty surrounding their acquisition by Oracle.
